Life keeps life-ing (and why my marketing is okay with that)

Hello Reader,

This spring has been incredibly busy. Between a full workload and dealing with a sick dog (thankfully, the pup is doing much better now!), life has been doing a lot of "life-ing."

Needless to say, active marketing hasn't been as big a priority as I’d like.

Over the years, I built a nice little fortress of visibility and authority that isn't dependent on my always being "on."

I owe that entirely to Past Sarah. Over the years, I’ve built a solid fortress of visibility and authority that doesn't depend on me always being "on."

Instead of chasing algorithms, I built a system that consistently handles the heavy lifting:

  • Attracts the right leads: It brings both problem- and solution-aware buyers straight to my website, stabilizing the feast-or-famine cycle.
  • Captures them early: It pulls those leads into my ecosystem using unique, evergreen lead magnets built for the distinct sides of my business.
  • Builds authentic trust: It nurtures those relationships automatically via email.
  • Creates clear entry points: It offers distinct, premium "starting point" invitations that make it easy for people to say yes when the time is right.

These are "set it and adjust it" assets. They lift a massive burden off my shoulders and save me a fortune compared to running ads or outsourcing.

I didn't build this overnight. I don't have the capacity to speed-run my marketing if I want to have a life and deliver exceptional work for my clients. It was built brick by brick.

Search optimization is the cornerstone of the entire equation. Since the vast majority of online experiences begin with a search, it just makes sense to ensure you're part of the answer. When I started this business in 2008 following a layoff, I knew I needed a foundational system that went beyond just my immediate network. I listened to the story the data was telling me.

That’s why—even with the constant shifts across Google, DuckDuckGo, and AI platforms like ChatGPT—I continue to teach and consult on organic visibility. It works.

My clients and program alumni frequently tell me they never expected the scale of opportunities this kind of visibility brings—from speaking engagements and Fortune 500 consulting gigs, to the simple joy of taking a long vacation without worrying about scheduling social media posts or monitoring comments.

If you’re ready to build a system like this—entirely on your own terms—I’d love to invite you to join me for the final cohort of Summer of SEO.

It’s an intimate, small-group program filled with incredibly smart, supportive people who are ready to build something that lasts.

If you have questions, I'm here—just hit reply.

We start June 3.

See you then,

Sarah

P.S. If you want to join Summer of SEO, but you're in a timezone that makes it difficult to be live on the calls (e.g. Australia), send me an email—I have something special for you.
