Own Your Voice 🗣️


Hello Reader,

One of my favorite pieces of content on my website is a line at the end of this client case study:

Ready to boost your impact, own your voice, and grow your business?

This line was written by a wonderful creative writer I collaborated with to document my clients’ stories.

When I read that line, “own your voice” jumped off the page at me.

This? This was what I’ve wanted to say for years, but didn’t even quite have the right words. And there it was.

Own your voice.

In a world of bots and AI and large language models, human voices could not be more important.

I am so fortunate in my work to get to talk to so many fascinating and brilliant people in all kinds of industries with so much deep expertise—and who are doing truly transformational work.

And yet, their voices aren't the loudest, they often don't bubble up through the noise of the quick hits that get so much attention.

I don't want these incredible people to be the best kept secret—I want them to be known and have their voices heard.

And that's the point of this ongoing series about blogging—it's a vehicle for you to own your voice.

So it doesn't get lost in the rapid-fire marketing landscape.

You document it, iterate it, develop it.

The blog is simply the mechanism.

It could also be a podcast, or a newsletter that is the catalyst for owning your voice—but the blog has the superpower of discoverability.

(Oh, and fun fact: you can turn those things into a blog and leverage your work.)

Remember, you have something unique to say, and I guarantee you there are people who need to hear it. Don't be afraid to own your voice — your story, your expertise, your insights.
