Quick Marketing Wins in < 20 Minutes ⏱


Hello Reader,

My clients are always asking me the best questions. Recently, a busy practitioner asked me on a strategy call, "Okay so what marketing things can I do in 20 minutes?"

I love this thinking so, so much! Because way too often marketing people push big stuff: campaigns, lengthy content, webinar funnels, all those things that are a pretty heavy burden if you're rushing from task to task in your business.

I've talked about this a bit in this newsletter previously, and in this blog post, but it bears repeating: The marketing stuff? It doesn't have to be miserable.

People say all the time, "I love my work but I hate marketing." And, honestly, that's super understandable. The way most of us talk about this work makes it feel tough before we even begin. So it's hard to even start, let alone complete some massive effort.

But, there are so many things you can do that aren't a heavy lift that pay off in small and even large ways. Here are a few of my favorites that take less than 30 minutes:

  • Add an update to my Google Business Profile
  • Check my homepage for broken links
  • Add a popup for email newsletter subscribers to my website
  • Review my SEO meta tags on my website for accuracy
  • Draft a short welcome email for new newsletter subscribers
  • Check sites like Google Maps and Apple Maps for location accuracy
  • Add a mini bio to a website footer to help SEO
  • Review my website navigation for clarity and logic

These are just some examples—I've been jotting down a list that may or may not become part of a fun little project I've been working on. Get creative and specific! What can you do with just a few minutes? Doing that is such a massive step forward even if it feels small in the moment—I promise!
